India is a huge country with largest of the population residing in Uttar Pradesh. Allahabad high court which is located in the city of Allahabad has its jurisdiction over the state. It is considered to be one of most famous and oldest courts.

High Court Allahabad:

History

It is a well known fact that North Western Province was very important to British Empire during the colonial. High court was founded in Agra in 1866 as per the act of the high court which was passed in 1861. It was a monumental event since it eliminated the need of sadar diwani Adalat which existed since the Mughal Rule. After initial operations the venue was shifted to Allahabad in 1869 which was followed by name change in 1919. Oudh chief court was formed in the year by the law of the Oudh civil court act in 1925 which created decentralization in Northermn Province. After Independence state legislature of new found state Uttar Pradesh advocated a resolution which was send to the Governor of the state to combine the jurisdiction of the oudh and allahabad high court.  It prevented conflict or discrepancy between the two constitutional bodies. In 90s when the state of Uttarakhand was created it opted for a separate court which effectively ended the jurisdiction of high court Allahabad.  It was a significant event for the event which has handled many controversial cases in recent times that were very crucial to the nation. The court was constructed by Khan Sahab Nizammudin of Agra who provided valuable contribution in its creation.

Headquarter of the high Court is located at Allahabad with its main bench at Lucknow the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. Panel of jurist consist of three eminent personalities in legal field.
